Buckwheat Pitta Recipe (Gluten Free)
Hi, and welcome to our cleanfoodies channel,today I'm going to show you how I'm going
to make a gluten free pan bread, for thiswe are going to use 1 cup of buckwheat groats,
water, a teaspoon of baking powder, and somesalt, that's it, for our buckwheat pitta bread
we are going to use the green buckwheat grain,this is un roasted, natural buckwheat, you
may see some brown roasted buckwheat don'ttake it, this is the same grain it's just
roasted, we are just going to use this greenone, what we are gonna do, this is a very
soft grain, we are going to actually use acoffee grinder to make it flour, I'll show
you how, there you have it, ok our flour isready, I'm gonna add some salt and water,
you add water until a consistency of thickdough is reached, so we just add a bit, then
we mix it, add a bit more, at this point weare going to add our baking powder, you want
to be careful not to add too much water, youwant to get to the consistency of a thick
dough, it's about half a cup of water, to1 cup of flour, you see my dough is a bit
sticky so I have to add a bit more flour toit, it has to be soft and not sticky, ok you
see now it's not sticky, and now what whilewe warm our skillet, I'm going to show you
how to make the forms of our pita bread, Iuse parchment paper, I’ll take about a nut
sized amount of dough, fold it over take myrolling pin, and I'm going to flatten it,
it has to be thin very thin, ok this is howit has to look, now we are going to put some
olive oil over our skillet, use any oil youlike, you can use coconut oil, canola oil,
olive oil, the best actually is coconut oil,ok so our gluten free buckwheat pita bread
